  Active server pages (ASP): Is Microsoft’s tried and tested platform for developing web server based applications. The main advantage of ASP is its low cost. There is no application server software to buy, because it is built in to windows 2000 server. There is no costly client or per seat licenses because all that is required on the client is a standard web browser. 

An application built on ASP & IIS can serve 1000 user as easily as it serves 5, just by beefing up the hardware in the server room. Some of the world’s busiest ASP E-Commerce sites support literally thousands of simultaneous users.

ASP.NET: Microsoft’s .NET initiative is an innovative computing platform planned to simplify application development and deployment in the internet age. .NET offers improved interoperability features based on open internet standards. The Microsoft .NET Framework is an environment for building, deploying and running robust, scalable distributed applications. It resolves many of the problems faced by the current applications on the windows platform, such as development, deployment and administration.

PHP: Is mainly focused on server side scripting, so you can do anything any other CGI program can do, such as collect form data, generate dynamic page content, or send and receive cookies. But PHP can do much more. And best of all it is free! There are three main fields where PHP scripts are used.

 Server side scripting. This is the most traditional and main target field for PHP. You need three things to make this work. The PHP parser (CGI or server module), a web server and a web browser. You need to run the web server, with a connected PHP installation. You can access the PHP program output with a web browser , viewing the PHP page through the server. See the installation instructions section for more information.

 Command line scripting. You can make a PHP script to run it without any server or browser. You only need the PHP parser to use it this way. This type of usage is ideal for scripts regularly executed using cron (on *nix or linux) or task scheduler (on windows). These scripts can also be used for simple text processing tasks. See the section about command line usage of Php for more information.

Writing client –side GUI applications. PHP is probably not the very best language to write windowing applications , but if you know PHP very well , and would like to use some advanced PHP features in your client-side applications you can also use PHP –GTK to write such programs .You also have the ability to write cross –platform applications this way. PHP-GTK is an extension to PHP, not available in the main distribution . If you are interested in PHP-GTK, visit its own website.

PHP can be used on all major operating systems , including Linux , windows, Mac OS X and RISC OS.PHP has also support for most of the web server, personal web server, Netscape and Iplanet servers, Oreilly website pro server, Caudium, Xitami, Omnihttpd, and many others. For the majority of the servers PHP has a module, for the others supporting the CGI standard, PHP can work as a CGI processor.

 MS Visual Basic: One of the tools that we use in developing new products is Microsoft’s popular development language, visual basic(VB). It is estimated that there are some 15 million programmers using visual basic world wide, so support is never going to be a problem. We have considerable experience in visual basic and have written many program fro clients in vb.

 Microsoft SQL Server: Is a top performance database server, competing head to head with products from oracle and Sybase. Like all these products it works by receiving a database query via the network(or internet), performing is locally at very high speed, and then sending the resulting data back to the client PC . This allows much higher database functionality on a limited bandwidth network, and makes complex applications that use enormous amounts of data possible, even over the internet.

 MySQL :  The ground breaking SQL database server is the world’s most widely used open source database application. Customers love its price, its speed, and its sensible functionality which gets the job done reliably, and without fuss. We have used mySQL successfully with ASP,PHP & Cold Fusion custom applications.

 MS Access : Is one of the most popular database development environments in the world, caused not least by the fact that it is bundled with Microsoft office professional. We has been developing Microsoft access applications for around Three years now, since the very inception of Microsoft access.

There are a variety of tricks that we can show you for how to use crystal reports with visual basic or crystal reports in ASP or Cold Fusion.
